Welcome to The Dead Horses Project: “Focused on things that don’t work…and replacing them with things that do work, for the common good of all.”
Talk:War
From Dead Horses
"War observably kills, maims and wounds millions of people each year and that is not good for our planet."
Oh, really? And what other mechanism do you suggest for population control on a planet with finite resources, apart from the natural attrition brought about by disease? War, though distasteful, is a very successful way of keeping the human population in check. These millions who are killed would otherwise go on to reproduce and further burden the carrying capacity of our small planet (about 1 billion, give or take). There are many millions who believe that birth control is a sin but go on to complain about overcrowding, pollution and shortages of food and other resources.
Sorry, but ending war is just a pipe dream and yet another Dead Horse.
