You may create your own custom cake endure on home by using wooden items bought from house improvement or craft stores. 1 Choose any round or square wooden plaque that is large sufficient to carry the finished cake. These plaques can be purchased away from craft stores or home enhancement stores.

2 Find a wooden candlestick holder to use as the base of the cake stand. A short candlestick holder with a wide base will create a more stable cake stand.

3 Sand the candlestick holder and the wooden plaque together with 200-grit sandpaper to create some smooth surface plus remove any tough edges. With a waterless cloth, wipe aside each and every wood dust that remains when you are done sanding.

5 Fill the inside of the candlestick holder through wood glue, and pass on additional glue around the mouth of the candlestick holder. Press the candlestick holder firmly onto the center about the bottom of the wooden plaque. Permit the glue to waterless completely.

6 Paint the cake endure by acrylic paint on the color(s) of your option. Allow the paint to waterless fully.

7 Attach any ribbon or piece regarding lace to the edge regarding the cake remain with some hot glue gun, if you desire.
